Family Reunion

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend-inside or out rain or no rain. The weekend was dedicated to a family reunion (our 4th annual) for my side of the family. I have 8 brothers and sisters, all married-everyone of them showed up with their families. Yes, we were missing some, but ya know what-they were not forgotten-their names came up many times. When you have a large family like this, not everyone can make it...but they will hear about the GREAT and FUN time we all had. We all hang at my sister and bro-in-law in Pequot Lakes at their large home "resort" style" bringing our sleeping bags, tents, campers "food" "beverages" "chairs" and do whatever happens next.
This year we had three many features: a Dunk Tank (my hubby was the 1st one to brave it) in which he was the first one dunked-oh what fun...I even took a shot at it, and hit the target, in which he went in. Yup, he still loves me.
Then my brothers rigged up a "bean bag" tourney...the loser of the tourney has to go in the Dunk Tank. My gosh, I hope it's not my mom...but then again, it would be funny, better yet, to see my sister go would be better yet (hee, hee, hee) We get the results today, as it was an all day affair yesterday-going into to today.
Oh, then the yearly decision on what to eat for the "main meal" on Saturday. This year, my Dad had a great idea and got a big pot together to put over a fire in which we all contributed with goodies to make an awsome stew. It cooked over an open fire for at least 4 hours- and just enuf for 31 people. It was accomplished even with rain being forever with us.
Yes, there was an injury of one of the attendees, which resulted an emergency room visit, my little grandson decided to go for a "spin" on a scooter-oh my heart fell for him, his mommy and daddy-but all is well (Thank God). I believe he learned a lesson-wear shoes, helmet and maybe shin guards.
Now, we all have a shirt to Proudly wear in which one of my bro's and wife provided to us. We will wear them proudly. It says "R-- M-------- Family Reunion. What happens in Pequot stays in Pequot!!!
Then there was of course the yearly event....a FAMILY photo which will forever be a yearly event when we all get together. I can't stress it enough-get that family photo of your family. It is something you will treasure. I love this event and will look forward to my Yearly Family gathering. The next time you get together, call us....we want to create that image for you.
Guess what, gotta go. I'm the first one up, now my daddy just got up...going to spend some more precious time with him alone.
May all your Moments be filled with Magic.
Keep Smiling!!!

Dads

Aren't they great? What would we do without a Dad? Well, first of all, we wouldn't be here! I'm glad my Dad is still with me. He is getting up in age, but I find that as every day goes by, I enjoy him even more...in fact, he has mellowed out in age...I'm not always in trouble(insert smiley face here).

Now, the guy in the image here is the father to our 3 children. He is understanding, caring, loving and will always be there for our kids should they need him. With age comes knowledge, in which I believe our children find as they grow older. Remember, as the kids are younger and growing up, we as parents are "dumb" in their minds. But as they grow older, they find out differently that we parents ARE smart and really knew what we were and are talking about.

Back to the guy in this image...He IS great! He is my partner is business, my friend, my listener and my husband. I am so fortunate to have this guy in my life to have became a GREAT father to our children.

Happy Fathers Day!

My Little Levi

Yep,

I'm proud of this little guy. He is just one of my grandchildren. I have two-he has an older brother. I had attended a little skit that Levi had been part of. It was very important to me to attend, as I know being a mother, I had a tough time attending everything when my kids were growing up-not to say I will attend everything my grandkids are involved with! He was soooo...cute by asking me if I thought he was handsome. Then he asked me if I thought he was "steller", where do these kids come up with such things? Oh well. Kids grow up so fast!

Sorry that I did not get to you the last couple of days, we were out of town visiting with photographers from southern Minnesota-had what I guess you could say ... a training session. We are always willing to learn more-share with each other our ideas and suggestions. It was a good time! In fact this past Monday I attended a GREAT seminar in regards to Weddings! Ya gotta call if your planning a wedding! I would love to make some Magical Moments for you!

Close-Knit Family

This family was fun to work with in the studio. They wanted something to show the togetherness they feel. Dad is the one that holds the family together with his wide shoulders. Mom keeps everything in place with her being positioned on top. The kids are just all cuddled up within the parents.

I have said it before, and I'll will always continue to say this.....Family is Important. Get that family portrait done. You'll never regret it!

A Great Fisherman

This gentleman lives on Millacs Lake. He owns a boat that he enjoys going out fishing on. He really knows how to clean a Walleye. He really knows how to make you feel like one of his own kids. This man is my girlfriends "daddy". I almost felt like his daughter after being next door to his home for a weekend with my girlfriend and her hubby fishing over the weekend. We had such an enjoyable time. I even saw an eagle fly overhead with a fish in its claws....do I wish I had a camera on me at that time? You bet!!!! What a site.

Ya know, when we are "on site" with you for a photographic session, we are ready with camera in hand to capture that moment. We are always anticipating that moment at the wedding, event, family affair, etc. Keep us in mind for that next event. Have a beautiful day!

Congrats Class of 2008

The class of 2008 should be proud to have accomplished what every teenager would like to do while in school. How many of you sat in the classroom - daydreaming of the day you would get your diploma, then off to the real world......

We've all been there. Some of us have gone further into education-not really knowing what it is we want to be when we grow up, others know exactly what they want to be and pursue their career.

Me, I enjoy photography. I get to create behind the camera. I get to know a lot of people. I get to make you happy. If you aren't happy with your current family portrait, call us. I KNOW we can help.

Have a great day, week, life, moment.

Ahhhh.....Young Love

Yep, can you tell these two are in love? We just asked for a dip, they had no problem cooperating with us, and then a kiss on top of it. We will be photographing this nice couple this fall, and looking forward to it.

When we agree to photograph your wedding, there are many times we get together to chat. It is a great time to do this, as we get to know you, and you get to know us. It is a Special Day of your lives, and you want to be comfortable with your photographer(s) following you around capturing those precious moments. We almost become a part of your family...which makes us feel very special. A Bride to be who had contacted us last week only to find out that a date they planned on getting married was already booked for 2009. She called back yesterday, requesting us again, but with a different date-we were available, we will be their photographer. How special does that make us feel that a Bride and Groom will change their wedding date so we can be a part of their Special Day? It has happened numerous times, call us soon...dates are already booking for 2009!

Sisterly Love

These two girls were so cute to want to have their picture taken together for their event folder. It must truly be sisterly love. They do everything together, and truly get along! I remember growing up, that I wanted to "hang" with my friends, not my sister. Now, I can't wait to get together with my siblings. I could be with them for the weekend, or even a week. I really love my brothers and sisters. There is 8 of us, and we just really enjoy being together. I believe the older you get, the closer you get to your siblings. In fact, the last weekend of this month, we are all getting together with our parents and doing a camping weekend which will consist of a "fishing contest". Looking forward to it!

Welp, gotta go. Going metro way to do a comercial photo shoot, chat tomorrow! Have a great day.

There, There

Big Sis will take care of her little sister. This is the time to get that image done of your newborn. We have photographed the bigger sister many times, and now get to continue the tradition with her little sister and family. It all started out with a wedding of the "mommy and daddy". We feel a part of the family and want to be a part of your family. Call us...weather it be for your upcoming wedding, your family portrait, or you just want something special for that special one in your life. Life is short, create memories to treasure.

She's got her catch!

Fun couple. We enjoyed their playfulness and letting us create some "fun" images for them. You see, they are both in the Rodeo Circuit. In fact, this past weekend, they are in North Dakota for a Rodeo. Being married, they can now be together at Rodeo's rather than separated. This couple is from Hugo, MN. They in fact had the tornado go through their back pasture...they even watched it as it went by!!!

I just got back from a Bridal Expo. Had some very nice couples come by to visit. I am looking forward to hearing from them, as I gave them a Special Bridal Deal they can't pass up.

Hope you all have a great week. Chat with ya during the week.

Keep Smiling
